âŠī¸IPFS Gateway
Welcome to the IPFS Gateway documentation for hello.app! In this guide, you'll learn how to leverage our IPFS gateway, connect to our network, utilize Kubo RPC, and access content seamlessly.
Overview
Our IPFS Gateway provides a seamless experience for accessing content-addressed files hosted on IPFS. Users can upload public files to our platform, making them accessible to everyone via a normal IPFS link. Encrypted files can also be accessed through our platform, ensuring secure access for users.
Features
Unlimited Bandwidth: There's no apparent limit on the bandwidth of the streaming buffer, ensuring smooth access to content.
Public File Access: Users can upload public files, accessible to everyone as if they were hosted on a standard IPFS network.
Encrypted File Access: Encrypted files on Hello Pool can be accessed through our platform, providing secure access to sensitive content.
Getting Started
To access our IPFS Gateway, simply use the following URL:
Kubo RPC API
Our platform supports Kubo RPC, allowing users to interact with the IPFS daemon.
For more information on Kubo RPC, refer to the official documentation.
Streaming IPFS API
We also provide an API endpoint for streaming files to IPFS. This endpoint enables users to seamlessly stream files from hello.app directly to the IPFS node of hello app (with additional features coming soon). Below is the endpoint for accessing this feature:
Developers can utilize this endpoint to facilitate the streaming of files to IPFS, enabling seamless content sharing and distribution.
Connecting to Our Network
Anyone can connect to our IPFS network and act as a host. By utilizing our API endpoints, developers can integrate their applications seamlessly with our platform.
Frontend Integration
In the frontend, users can seamlessly access IPFS content through our platform. They can choose to view content on IPFS, which utilizes our API to retrieve content via the gateway link.
Additionally, we provide visual cues for users regarding file accessibility:
Public Files: Files accessible to everyone will be marked accordingly.
Encrypted Files: Encrypted files will prompt users with a notification indicating the need for decryption. All encrypted content is decrypted privately client-side by chunking on our webapp. Future plans may include implementing decryption functionality within Desktop applications.
Future Development
We are continuously improving our platform. Future developments may include:
Implementation of decryption functionality within client-side applications.
Development of a standalone application or extension for desktop users to facilitate decryption and access to the Hello Pool.
Stay tuned for updates on our platform's development!
Conclusion
Our IPFS Gateway offers a seamless experience for accessing content on the IPFS network. Whether you're a developer looking to integrate with our platform or a user accessing content, hello.app provides the tools and infrastructure you need.
